La CLEF - Association

CLEF is an association supported by the town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. For over 20 years, it has been contributing to the cultural life of the town.

La CLEF offers F.L.C.E (Français Langue et Culture Étrangères - French as a Foreign Language and Culture) training in a friendly environment conducive to learning French culture.

More than 2 500 members are involved in some fifty leisure and training activities (dance, sport, plastic arts, theater and writing workshops, music, English...).

La CLEF welcomes nearly 15,000 spectators each season for concerts and shows. A dozen exhibitions a year are also programmed.

La CLEF's values are based on listening, welcoming and sharing... An open-plan relaxation area is available to encourage encounters. The association also strives to foster autonomy and personal development by encouraging participation in community life and cross-disciplinarity.

THE WORLD AT LA CLEF

The students in our French courses represent a wide diversity of backgrounds. We currently have no fewer than 35 nationalities from all 5 continents.

This is a real opportunity for a rich intercultural dialogue, on which our teachers base their lessons. This intercultural dimension is accentuated by the balance struck between au pairs and expatriates who simply wish to improve their French; a stimulating mix for the students.
